Machui Bengals
We are a small indoor cattery located in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, Canada. This is about 40 minutes from Halifax and 20 minutes from the Halifax International Airport.
The ultimate goal in our Bengal breeding program is to attempt to replicate the appearance of the Asian Leopard Cat while maintaining the purrrrfect personality and temperament of a domestic cat.
The Bengal is an affectionate, playful, friendly and extremely intelligent companion. I have owned many different breeds of cats over the years and have never come across a personality even close to the Bengals.
As a member of The International Cat Association (TICA), The International Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS) and the American Cat Fancier Association (ACFA), we strive to enhance the beauty of the Bengal breed. We pride ourselves in selecting only the best available cats for our small breeding program. We carefully select our kittens from top bloodlines and from the most reputable breeders in the business, such as Azana and Abundadots. We encourage you to examine each cat's pedigree in order to note all the international winners and champions.
Our Bengals live in our home as our pets and constant companions. Here at Machui Bengals, we raise our exotic looking Bengal kittens in an under-foot environment. From the moment they are born, each one is given plenty of personal attention and love in order to provide you with a well- socialized pet that will be your best friend for years to come.
Kittens leave Machui Bengals for their new homes at twelve weeks of age. It is important for kittens to have this time with their mothers in order to learn all of their vital social skills and to ensure a strong immune system. Before leaving our babies will be litter boxed trained, exposed to a scratching post and eating on their own. All of our pet kittens are sold under a spay/neuter contract, and all kittens will have their first sets of vaccinations / worming and will be thoroughly examined by my veterinarian at least twice. They will be registered with The International Cat Association (TICA), and will also have a four-generation pedigree.
Finally I would like to thank Sheila Love of Azana. She is always available for questions and freely offers her time, knowledge and attention to improving the bloodlines.
